Bacteria
There are six different kingdom classifications of bacteria.
1.)Archaebacteria -- autotroph/heterotroph
2.)Eubacteria -- autotroph/heterotroph
3.)Protista -- autotroph/heterotroph
4.)Fungi -- heterotroph
5.)Plantae -- autotroph/heterotroph
6.)Anamalia -- heterotroph
Archaebacteria is unicellular and they live in extreme habitats. Archaebacteria were one of the first organisms to inhabit the earth. The habitats of this bacteria include: hotsprings, salty lakes, swamps, and anaerobic enviroments with out oxygen. There are three different types of archaebacteria thermophiles (heat lovers), methanogens (produce methan gas), and halophiles (salt lovers). Eubacteria is a common type of bacteria, most of this bacteria us oxygen but few cant live in the presence of it. Eubacteria are decomposers, they are alsoused in some food making. This type of bacteria is sometimes known to cause diseases. One type of this bacteria is bioremediation which means they just eat oil spills. The shapes of bacteria include: 1.)cocci -- round 2.)bacilli -- rod 3.)spirilla -- spiral The groups of bacteria include: 1.)planes -- staph 2.)chains -- strepto
One way too classify bacteria is a method called gram staining. This is a procedure that stains bacteria, some bacteria stain pink or purple. If the bacteria stains purple it means its a gram stain positive, but if it stains pink it means its a gram stain negative. This procedure tells scientists what kind of wall the bacteris has. If it jas more of a peptidoglycan or more rigid wass it is a gram stain positive.
A bacteria's reproduction is binary fision and its conjugation is that bacteria gives its DNA to another bacteria.
